Gina Bisignano, by her counsel, in a court filing today requests the Court to grant continuance of her trial until after October 7, 2024 when SCOTUS is expected to rule on 18 USC 1512 (c), witness, victim, and informant tampering, carrying up to 20 years of imprisonment if convicted.

“Undersigned counsel has been in contact with counsel for Fischer, and understands that
the litigation schedule in Fischer is as follows:

• Fischer will file his opening brief on January 29, 2024;
• The Government will file its answering brief on February 29, 2024,
• Fischer will file his reply brief on March 14, 2024,
• Oral argument will be scheduled during the week of April 15, 2024 or April 22, 2024;
• The Court will issue its decision by the end of June 2024.

For the same reasons as this matter was continued pending the resolution of the government’s appeal of this Court’s orders in Fischer, Miller, and Lang, a continuance is similarly appropriate until the Supreme Court issues its decision in Fischer.”

The government kidnapped Gina from California and held her captive in solitary for two months in Oklahoma. In the dead of winter, they turned her out into the streets without a coat and no means to return home. Her business was destroyed and her savings robbed by a greedy lawyer who railroaded her to plead guilty to the 1512 charge in a plea agreement. Gina retracted her plea agreement and began her long journey to find new counsel and prepare for trial. Please help Gina make it through this difficult and long journey to obtain justice by sustaining her through trial and the rebuilding of her life and business.
