🚨🚨🚨 Tuesday our Homeland Security Committee will be marking up and voting on the articles of impeachment for Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.
This is happening because I forced a floor vote on my Mayorkas articles of impeachment back in November and Democrats and 8 Republicans voted to move my articles to our Homeland Security Committee giving us jurisdiction.
I am very proud of all the hard work by Republicans on Homeland and thankful to the leadership of our Chairman Mark Green. Just received a call from Major Perry – the head PAO at Eagle Pass. Writing here what I can as he caught me without pen and paper.
- No media operations on Sunday January 28th, which means I cannot get inside the fence tomorrow.
- No razor wire has been cut.
- They are not operating under title 32 or title 10 – they are locally funded
- Outside of the help being sent they are comprised of Texas army national guard, Texas air national guard and Texas state guard.
- It is called “joint Force lonestar”
- They are not coordinating any activities with CBP or any other agency, this includes intelligence activities.
- In Laredo,TX they do coordinate with CBP on drug, gun, and money apprehension operations (forgot the name).
- He did offer up they have not seen an attempt to cross in the past 17 hours (direct quote). The last crossers they saw were picked up when Kristy Noem was present yesterday.
