On Monday, new details emerged in the ongoing legal battle between Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis and Trump co-defendant Michael Roman. In a recent filing by Roman’s lawyer, Willis is accused of “cohabitating” with Special Prosecutor Nathan Wade in her home beginning in 2019 and sharing a taxpayer-funded AirB&B together as a “safe house.” The filing alleges that there are witnesses that prove Wade “cohabitated” with Willis at her home in South Fulton.
The new accusations came after both Willis and Wade told a court that their relationship began in 2022, two years before Wade was appointed to the DA’s office in 2021. “Fani Willis better go ahead and resign,” Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) wrote in response to the accusations. “This is about to get a lot worse for her.” The accusations, if true, could lead to potential legal trouble in the form of perjury for the Georgia prosecutor, given that she had already testified to a court that the relationship began much sooner than what was alleged. The punishment for perjury in Georgia is a fine of $1,000, a prison sentence between one to ten years, or both.
