The Chicago suburb of Dolton, Illinois is entirely broke. So much so that it’s in danger of having its police cruisers repossessed.

And yet its mayor, Tiffany Henyard, plunders city coffers to put up billboards that are nothing more than ads promoting herself.

She’s spent huge sums using local police as backup dancers in music videos (seriously) and private security.

Supposedly, the town’s own police chief admits that Henyard orders his officers to write tickets targeting her critics.

She has allegedly even shut down local businesses that refuse to donate to her political war chest.

Henyard has been at this for three years. It would be trivially easy for Cook County prosecutor Kim Foxx to hit her with a half-dozen felonies and help Dolton’s 20,000 citizens in the process. But it’s not happening.
