Anyone want to start packing their bags?

Human Beings aka Homo Sapiens (of Genesis) are not genetically engineered to live or thrive in deep space. The ecology of the earth is their genetic habitat. Now it seems the Romance of Space Opera has become the latest sport. A whole lot of “technicalities” to explore there, and I hear the latest is a cylindrical spaceship (24 kilometers long) equipped with an approximate habitat engineered to take and provide a human crew of 1500 on a journey to Alpha Centauri as planned to take 400 years long. Apparently there are some indicators of an earth like “possibly habitable” planet in the Alpha Centauri solar system. Launch date “25 years” from now. It certainly emits an interesting twist of adventure haunting at a dead end. Still, just consider the technological spinoffs for the people of earth! Perhaps we should consult with our UFO / ET buddies here on earth to see if such an adventure is even remotely realistic!
