What is the underlying source of this evil?

The extent of this demonic malignancy is extremely disturbing. How did these “folks” get to be this way? Every Fairy Tale for the children and every Storyline in the Movies clearly portrays the good guys vs the bad guys, and the good vs evil seems almost instinctually common sense – but this? What’s going on in this reality is overwhelmingly evil considered as the demonic-rat’s norm. We are definitely living in unprecedented times! What is the underlying source of this insidious evil?
