US forces occupying Iraq’s Ain al-Asad air base were targeted and injured, base infrastructure clearly damaged during ballistic missile attack carried out by Iraqi-based militias.

The U.S. military’s Central Command said in a statement that the base was hit by multiple ballistic missiles and rockets fired by Iranian-backed militants from inside Iraq. The statement did not confirm the extent of any U.S. injuries but said personnel were being evaluated for traumatic brain injury.
US missile defenses failed to stop all missiles. No mention in the article is made of the type of defenses the base had, but it has been previously reported the base is protected by the Patriot system.

Offering a sense of the scale of the attack, Central Command said most of the missiles were intercepted though others hit the base.
It is interesting Reuters avoids naming the missiles as Patriots.

There is no dispute that Vivek is the most intelligent and hard-working candidate in this race.
The only question that gives some people pause is whether he can be trusted.
It’s understandable to be skeptical of someone that appeared on the political scene seemingly out of nowhere. I was skeptical too. So I did my research.
I’ve probably done more digging on Vivek than anyone, which you can see for yourself in the videos posted below, and I can tell you with confidence that Vivek is the most transparent, patriotic and principled politician I have ever seen. This is not something that I say lightly as I am cynical by nature, particularly of politicians.
But don’t take my word for it. Do your own research with an open mind and I have no doubt you will reach the same conclusion that I did.
