The “principalities” that control the politicians, in California for example, knew 50+ years ago that a massive drought was inevitable and that fresh water sources would dry up. Engineering plans were drawn up to solve this situation, for example the NAWAPA (North American Power and Water Alliance), but the plans weren’t allowed to be implemented; as I understand it the Governor of California “canned it” even in light of the compelling facts that a catastrophe was in the making.
