A proper approach to immigration must include addressing the root of the problem: Shutting down the speculative financial economy which depends upon slave labor and the looting of nations for its existence.
Lyndon LaRouche’s remarks from back in 2006 point out the absurdity on both so-called sides of the debate over “immigration” in the US.
While there are straight forward technical things that should be done, such as documenting everyone coming across so they can have access to consular services and a transparent process, none of it will work without addressing the core problem.
The core problem is that the US shut down Mexico’s economy in 1982 under Reagan and Kissinger, to prevent Mexico from developing its own oil resources. This forced anyone attempting to survive to flood into the US, taking any and all employment they could find. Mexico and much of Central and South America remain underdeveloped to this day, making a ripe field for drug and human traffickers and all that goes along with that as people try to flee.
Therefore, it’s in the US interest is the help these nations to develop actual economies!
“If you’re not doing that, you’re not doing anything! You’re masturbating, with legislation. One is trying to prove, ‘I’ve got a tough bill, but it’s fair. I kill people fairly, not unfairly! I shoot them down fairly, not unfairly. I let them turn themselves in, and then I throw them back across the border!'”
We created the system that has caused this immigration problem, and it’s being maintained in order to profit financial and other parasitical interests at the expense of these nations.
“So, our interest is to have an international program, of the United States and Mexico, to develop both sides of the border, because economic development is the first basis for security in this area.”
Mexico has the resources to develop. It has oil. Add to this nuclear power and a plan to develop water resources and this entire region could blossom.
