On the “Pole Shift” issue there is also the 3 day period in which the Earth’s rotation slows to the point at which it starts rotating in the other direction which not only involves the momentum phenomena you describe but also the extended day night solar effect of scorching heat and sub freezing cold over quadrants of the surface during this 3 day period. Actually there have been witnesses who survived this cataclysm in pre- (current) historic times past and passed graphic descriptions of this event on as myths that were later scripture’d as sacred texts for our times.
